The music industry has undergone an extreme amount of changes over the past view years, but one thing that has stayed consistent during that time is how important the role of marketing plays in achieving success in the music industry.
Presented and designed by Oddball Productions, The Music Marketing Program takes an in-depth look at the business of music and principles behind building and executing effective marketing and promotional campaigns.
The course begins by looking at basic marketing principles, terms and practices, which make up the backbone of every marketing plan. From there, participants will explore more in depth theories applied to the music business and promoting music. By the end of the course you will have an active marketing plan and timeline tailored to your project's needs.
The Music Marketing Program runs over a 10-week period, meeting once a week for approximately 2 hours. As part of the program, you will be asked to build a marketing plan for an album release, tour, event or any other music industry related activity, which you will present to the other participants and a panel of music industry experts.
