 Zerbin: Bio ZERBIN is a Canadian alternative rock band, taking its name from front-man and chief songwriter Jason Zerbin. Though primarily formed of Zerbin, Jeremy Dehek, Andrew Hochalter, and Peter Mol; they are regularly comprised of a family of musicians who step in to fill out the layers of soaring melody and rich rhythm. Their debut LP (2010's Of Fools And Gold) boasts what has become the basis for Zerbin's signature blend of an almost symphonic alternative rock (ala. U2, Arcade Fire, Sigor Ro's), that has garnered both national and international attention. Songs such as Zerbin's debut single In Your Arms have crossed the globe to find the band an audience from North America to the Middle East. Of Fools And Gold not only gained them multiple GMA award nominations (Modern Rock/Alternative Song & Album Of The Year) but also led to numerous song placements in a variety of television and movie productions. From independent films like Vivendi/Lightyear's Teenage Dirtbag, to NBC's Necessary Roughness or Canada's own Degrassi. Zerbin's most recent single New Earth explores both the poetic and prophetic nature of Zerbin's songwriting. Unfolding a rhythmically organic sound and adding to the bands growing musical pallet. The track birthed out of a moment of creative furry, where within a thirty hour time period, everything from the initial writing to the final production of the song took place without break. While carrying a genuine pop accessibility, Zerbin consistently provides lyrical and musical moments of explorative creativity, as well as deep emotion and spirituality. They've brought this transporting live performance to Clubs, Cathedrals, and Festivals across North America, sharing bills with various national and international acts (Ten Second Epic, Leeland, Said The Whale, TFK).
